Project Echo: New Onset Seizures

Around the world, children are not getting access to the specialty care they need, when they need it, for complex and treatable conditions.

Purpose of Project Echo: New Onset Seizures

Project Echo: New Onset Seizures will allow children to be treated for seizures by pediatricians they already know and trust in the community. Pediatricians in regions where there are currently no child neurologists in practice will be trained to treat children presenting with new onset seizures. These diagnoses are usually benign and follow a clear treatment protocol making them ideal for a primary care practitioner. This treatment will be the same quality the children would have received if seen at a tertiary hospital.

  • Learn best practice care from a panel of epilepsy specialists from the comfort of your office or home
  • Review a variety of patient cases alongside an epileptologist, neurosurgeon, radiologist, neuropsychologist, nurse, and social worker
  • Patients receive same quality treatment by pediatricians they trust in the community
  • Reduce wait time and travel costs for patients
  • Improve seizure outcomes in their community
  • Sessions will include focused didactics
  • Bimonthly online sessions
