The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles (EFGLA) announces our 10th CARE+CURE BENEFIT TO END EPILEPSY IN CHILDREN on May 4, 2016, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Co-chaired by EFGLA board members Mark Borman and Andrew Gumpert, this year’s Care+Cure Benefit honors Doug Belgrad, the President of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group.
The ultimate Care+Cure goal is no child diagnosed with epilepsy and, until that time, donations to Care+Cure help ensure that more children with epilepsy can get to specialty care and that epilepsy research thrives in our region and thereby gives children and their families ever greater hope for cures. While there is still much to be done, the past accomplishments are many thanks to the support of many generous donors and sponsors. Care+Cure has supported for the training and work of over 20 neurology/epilepsy specialists at UCLA, LAC+USC, CHLA and UCSF, the establishment of dietary therapy programs at UCLA, LAC+USC and CHLA, the funding of epilepsy research, and the provision of supportive care and advocacy programs.
